Description
This is an Ametek Vacuum Motor for your Broan models CV-40 and CV-40C, 240 volt.
This motor has sealed bearings in it so dust and dirt will not get into the system. This allows for a longer motor life. The factory motor does not have this sealed bearing.
SPECIAL NOTE!
This replaces the bottom motor only. If you need the top motor see our part MTR034
This vacuum uses 2 motors. You may want to replace both motors at the same time as Ametek motors are designed to operate up to 600 hours before they need replacing. If one motor has failed the other will most likely fail shortly there after. It is much easier to replace them both now and save time, money and effort.
It is suggested you replace the motor gasket part MTR512.
Protect your motors from dust and dirt by using a motor filter. This prolongs the life of your motor and is a must for all motors. See our part MTR553.

Installation note:
Over-tightening of the mounting screws may cause the fan casing to push into the fan blades and may damage the fans. This situation is not covered under the Motor Warranty Program and will not be approved if submitted. If motor is turned in under warranty and is found to have the type of damage explained above, the warranty will be denied. When mounting your new motor, in most cases a touch BEYOND “finger tight” is all that is required to mount and seat the motor sufficiently.
